Silhouetted Dusk (12x18)
Students first drew two separate horizon lines in some type of city form.  These building spaces were then painted with liquid acrylic paints.  After studying many pictures of skies and the sky in real life, a sky was sketched into the piece.  Color was then added to the sky using watercolor pencils.  The last step was adding a light wash of water over the different spaces in the sky.
