City and Subway (4x4)
Students created their own miniature cityscape inspired by Peter Brown’s The Curious Garden.  A 4”x4” piece of foam core was prepared with a ground of gesso, and on top of this a pencil sketch was created from which to work.  Layers of acrylic paint were used to slowly build up a city.  Finally, after the city was finished, various plants were added to create our own curious garden.
